The Basics

HomeAid Orlando is a local affiliate of HomeAid America, a national organization with 18 affiliates, from Atlanta to Hawaii. We serve as the bridge between the building industry and local service providers to help create a future where everyone has safe and dignified housing.

Mission Statement

HomeAid’s mission is to help people experiencing or at risk for homelessness build new lives through construction, community engagement, and education.

Vision Statement

Our vision is to be a vital force in creating safe and dignified housing and programmatic facilities for those who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

Core Values

Inclusiveness: Valuing that every individual has worth and human dignity through a willingness to help our neighbors in times of need, and to understand the unique stories behind each individual we serve.

Collaboration: Embracing working together as a community to achieve what’s impossible alone.

Integrity: Ensuring that everything we do is accomplished with a sense of responsibility, honesty, respect, confidence, and a commitment to always stay aligned with our mission.

The Power of a Triangle

The Triangle is one of the most simple shapes yet it exudes strength, stability and can bear the weight cast upon it from a variety of angles. The Triangle is often found in various elements of construction including building support and trusses. Equally as strong, are the three sides of HomeAid’s Triangle, as they are each critical components to fulfilling our mission and clearly demonstrate how HomeAid exists to serve those who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

HomeAid Orlando History

What Is HomeAid Orlando

We believe everyone deserves a safe, stable, and dignified place to call home.

In late 2019, HomeAid Orlando launched as the new chapter of HomeAid America. Through housing development and community outreach, our mission is to help those experiencing homelessness to build new lives. Our work is made possible through the generosity of home builders, their trade partners, industry service providers, and individuals like you.

On any given night in Florida, 28,000 people will experience homelessness; many are families with children. In partnership with Orlando's homebuilding industry, HomeAid Orlando is working to become an integral part of the fight against homelessness.

In partnership with the home building industry (builders, trade and service partners, and their employees), local nonprofit organizations, and community leaders – we build and maintain housing for those experiencing homelessness. By leveraging our relationships within the home building industry to garner in-kind donations of expertise, labor, and materials, we are able to build high quality housing and at a fraction of the typical cost. This collaboration allows nonprofit organizations to reinvest resources into life-changing programs, like financial education, career training, parenting skills, and other socio-emotional supports and counseling that help move families from homelessness to stability.

HomeAid Orlando is one of 19 local Affiliates across 13 states.

HomeAid is a leading nonprofit developer of housing and programmatic facilities for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

“We are very excited to bring HomeAid’s mission of ending homelessness to Central Florida and work with an incredible group of building industry leaders to address homelessness in the greater Orlando area.”
