HomeAid Orlando’s Builders 4 Babies Diaper Drive Collected Over 365,000 Diapers and Wipes for Local Service Providers

They say it takes a village and we had one for our annual Builders 4 Babies Diaper Drive. From Mother’s Day to Father’s Day our corporate partners collected diapers and wipes, more than doubling the number collected last year! We ended with a wrap up rally and diaper loading event at host Florida Paints on June 23rd. Even morning rain and afternoon heat didn’t dampen the enthusiasm of this team of volunteers, as they loaded trucks for our nonprofit partners the Central Florida Diaper Bank, the Christian Service Center, and The Sharing Center. Diaper clad trophies were awarded to Richmond American Homes, Ashton Woods, and Florida Paints for collecting the most items, but a total of fifteen companies participated so that parents in Central Florida won’t have to choose between food and diapers. College Hunks Hauling Junk and Moving Orlando and Dan Grieb’s Home to Sell Team generously provided trucks and staff to get the diapers moved. Get ready for next year when we plan on collecting even more diapers for local agencies that assist people experiencing, or at risk for homelessness. Huge thanks to everyone who participated.
